Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label
This is Veuve Clicquot’s best seller although not their best Champagne. They also produce Canard Duchene which is a considerably better Champagne and considerably cheaper too. This ‘Yellow Label’ is fashionable and has largely replaced Moet as a more discerning choice. However, as Champagne goes, it’s not particularly good, it just thrives on a large marketing budget with advertising in key locations. My advice if you want quality is to give it a miss and go for their Canard Duchene instead which can regularly be found on special offer for virtually half the price. Expect to pay between £28 and £30 for Veuve, available everywhere.
