Fermoy Estate was set up in 1985 by a small group of partners headed by Michael Kelly who has become one of Australia’s best regarded winemakers. They have 28 hectares of premium hilly vineyards in Margaret River producing top quality fruit, where all the work is done by hand. Their wines are very good and have a dedicated following in Sydney’s better restaurants, but so far have failed to really get going in the UK.

Big fruit flavours, powerful yet smooth. Good length too. This is a good bottle of wine. This wine is now hard to find in the Uk as the importing agency has dropped the range. You’ll still find a few bottles with some good independent retailers though.
