What’s it like?

Big and powerful at 15.5% abv,but somewhat suprisingly well suited to food. It’s savoury as opposed to overly fruity, with flavours of dark chocolate and black fruits with strong vanilla overtones on the finish from 24 months in oak, which also adds body and a mouthfeel like velvet. Being such a big complex wine it needs a little time to open up – try to leave it for 20 minutes or alternatively decant it if you can’t wait. Then savour it slowly because it’s only made in tiny quantities and is extremely rare.
