From Bodega NQN in Patagonia. This is a remarkble state of the art winery built into the side of a hill, producing some quite superb wines.

What’s it like?

This is NQN’s entry level Malbec, if I can call it that. It’s still very good and the description ‘entry level’ doesn’t do it any justice. Good strong fruit flavours balanced by strong alcohol. This wine ideally needs twenty minutes to breathe and open up as the tannins are quite tight, but when it does so it’s a delicious, strong wine, smooth  and very satisfying. For the price it’s very good value.
