Gouguenheim Malbec 2007

This is a delicious easy drinking Malbec from the charming Patricio Gouguenheim. The Gouguenheim winery is based in the Valle Escondido at the foothills of the Andes near Mendoza, Argentina’s biggest wine production area which also makes some of the best wines.

What’s it Like?

Plenty of fruit upfront with noticeable vanilla overtones on the finish, from some time spent in oak. Medium bodied with soft tannins so it doesn’t need to be left to breathe before consuming – which is a blessing! It won the Argentine Wine Awards ‘Best with Beef’ Award and a Decanter Silver Medal. It’s great value wine at this price.
